Serenity Humpback Whale Framed Illustration

The Salish Sea is the migratory home to a number of humpback whales. This illustration is based on an experience I was lucky enough to have with one of these majestic creatures. I found one resting inside a kelp bed basking in the warm sun along the west side of San Juan Island. The scene was so tranquil, calm and serene, I just had to paint it!
Original Illustration was painted with watercolor paints.
