Sunset on the Cedars was my interpretation of a magical occurrence that happened one September evening when we were camping in Birch Bay State Park outside of Bellingham, Wa. We were setting up for dinner & suddenly the forest all around us lit up like it was on fire. The trees were glowing with an intense amber light reflecting off the waters of Birch Bay & under lighting all the trees. It was so beautiful that I just had to try to recreate it in a painting!
